Our Accessibility Audit Process

Split into 5 distinct stages

Our process is based on the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) 1.0

Stage 1: Scope & Sample

  • Identifying target users and initial review website
  • Determining the scope and creating the sample for the audit

Stage 2: Test Specification

  • Setting the test stack specification in terms of technology and assistive technologies.
  • Identifying the websites' relied upon technologies

Stage 3: Testing

Manually testing every page in the sample against all WCAG 2.2 success criteria, using a combination of:

  • expert analysis
  • code inspection
  • testing with assistive technology (e.g. screen readers, screen magnifiers, keyboards)
  • Accessibility test software

Stage 4: Reporting

Creation of a comprehensive and easy to read Accessibility Audit Dashboard report and Audit Findings report.

Stage 5: Knowledge Transfer & Support

Handover of the audit report, a presentation of the audit findings and audit support.
