WCAG Compliance Certification

Overview

We offer a range of WCAG certification and compliance:

• Full WCAG compliance
• Part WCAG compliance
• Annual compliance

After your website has been audited against the WCAG 2.2 guidelines Level A and AA, and all issues have been addressed, we can issue your website with a WCAG Compliance Certificate and website logo.

Step 1: Accessibility Audit

The first step to WCAG Compliance Certification is to undertake a full WCAG 2.2 Accessibility Audit on your website.

Step 2: Accessibility Audit Re-Test

• Re-test issues:
  We re-test all the issues in the original accessibility Audit report and identify them as:

  • Resolved
  • Partially Resolved
  • Not Resolved

• New issues:
  Any new issues that have arisen out of the remediation process are identified and logged.

Step 3: Additional Re-Testing

We repeat step 2, the re-testing of the website, up to 5 times until all the issues have been resolved.

Step 4: Random Sample Testing (optional)

To ensure all pages across the site have been updated, and not just the sample pages, we can select and test random pages outside the original sample.

Step 5: You're Certified

Congratulations - The website is certified WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliant.

We issue your website with a WCAG Compliance Certificate and website logo.

Flexible and Pragmatic Approach

For large or complex websites, or websites with legacy content and functionality, full compliance cannot always be achieved immediately depending on the results of the audit.

By Category or Success Criteria

Our unique auditing approach categories each issue by type e.g. images, multimedia, forms etc.

We offer Part Compliance to WCAG by category type or by Success Criteria.

For example, your website might comply to all categories except Multimedia (e.g. your videos do not contain captions, yet).

Risk Strategy

We undertake a risk assessment of the outstanding issues, in terms of;

• severity
• prevalence
• people affected.

We prioritise pages and issues for remediation, as well as setting a timeframe for completion.

In addition, we establish procedures and a plan of action for users who may encounter an issue.

We can stagger certification - allowing clients to address the issues over time and meet any outstanding WCAG Success Criteria.

On a Yearly Basis
