All our consultants are technical accessibility experts with years of experience and have undertaken hundreds of audits.
Assess
Our team do an initial assessment of each PDF and Word document against the WCAG 2.2 guidelines and me2 Word Guidelines.
Rectify
Our team manually rectify your document. We fix and ensure the following is correct:
- PDF is tagged (see below)
- Reading order is logical
- Bookmarks have been added
- Tab order is correct
- Images have alt text
- Tables are marked-up
- Document properties are set
- And much more.
Tagging
Tagging is an essential part of creating an accessibility PDF.
Tags provide vital information to screen readers on the type and structure of content, otherwise unavailable to these users.
Test
We test the rectified PDF and Word doc using a combination of:
- Manual reviews
- Assistive technology (e.g. JAWS screen reader)
- Testing tools within Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Keyboard only
